The Triangle Iotas are an award-winning collective of men from all backgrounds. Brothers in their 20s as well as those in the fraternity for 30+ years. Brothers in education, logistics, communications, finance, law enforcement, military, and many other fields.

Joining Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. means you desire a brotherhood that is about building bonds among men while positively impacting our communities. We are a collective of men where all ideas are welcome, all thoughts are considered, and we work strategically and enjoy each other’s company.

To be considered for membership, qualifications include:

• A degree from a four-year college/university or trade/vocational certifications from an accredited institution of higher education or currently holding a military rank of at least an E-4 and have completed a minimum of four years military service or were honorably discharged from the military. You will be required to show official documentation supporting this qualification.

• At least one recommendation letter from a current brother.

• A letter outlining your interest in joining Iota Phi Theta, what skills/attributes/abilities you bring to the organization, and what you hope to gain out of your fraternal membership.

• Your professional resume.

The Triangle Iotas are an active, vibrant chapter. We received the 2021 Eastern Region Social Action & Impact Award. A finalist for the 2021 International Alumni Chapter of the Year. We are the 2020 N.C Alumni Chapter of the Year. Our Polaris is the 2020 Eastern Region Alumni Brother of the Year and a member of the fraternity’s Board of Directors. We are reactivating undergraduate chapters and chartering new ones. We complete thousands of community service hours per year.
